WHY?
Why I chose to be a designer?.....I liked the process of giving life to an idea. Being a designer allows you to make this world a better looking place, also break down language barriers and be understood by all. They say "If you find a job you love you dont have to work another day"...and i say its true.
HOW?
I never went to a design school, it was in my blood. My passion for design encouraged me to self-study. With a decent amount of hard work, guidance and determination I was able to make a career out of it. Here I am, a creative Web/Graphic designer, continuously enjoying, learning and improving day by day.
WORK EXPERIENCE
(2005 - 2007)
I started my career as an e-Media Developer, working for an UK based software development and IT services company called InW2. My role was to Design and maintain professional user Interfaces, Promotional media and Flash animations.
(2007 – till date)
After 2 years I joined hSenid, a leading software development company in sri lanka. Currently i play the role of a Snr. Web Graphic designer / Lead Product Branding. As the creative lead my role is to come up with new concepts and design the overall graphics,layouts for Promotional displays, Marketing brochures, Websites, Logos, Flash demos, Advertisements, Printing materials and be in charge of Product Branding.
WHEN I AM NOT DESIGNING
A silent killer, Devil…:P, well i like to fool around with my insane friends, Play a game of soft ball cricket, Pool, Swimming, Movies, Music, Facebooking, last but not least shooting!!!....yep, Photography..;)
